Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually
Position Summary:
As an Agriculture Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for cold calling, generating and engaging with cold and warm leads, consulting for solutions, and selling our products through Britespan Building Systems directly to the end user. You will be working in concert with all departments to achieve a high rate of success.

Position Qualifications:
Education & Knowledge
- A strong background in B2B/B2C
- A college degree, technical school diploma, certifications or equivalent experience
- Ability to read structural drawings (Preferred)
Skills
- Ability to work with prospective clients comfortably, clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
- Ability to effectively sell
- Financial Mathematics
- Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure to meet sales goals
- Flexible, highly motivated, efficient and well organized
Experience
- 5+ years of direct selling experience
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics
- CAD Experience (preferred)
- Agricultural construction background (Preferred)
- Direct experience in agriculture (family farm, agribusiness, or ag sales role)
- Familiarity with fabric-covered or steel building systems
- Networked in local agricultural communities
Communication
- Excellent verbal communication
- Building rapport with prospective clients, developing relationship-based selling and promoting a pleasant outgoing attitude
- Proficient in electronic communication methods such as email, text, instant messaging, video meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Webex
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve revenue goals:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products, quality standards, industry trends and competition.
- Engage every assigned prospective client with Britespan sales cycle procedures and processes to achieve a high level of success, and a consistent Best-In-Class customer experience in concert with the dealer network assigned.
- Prioritize agricultural hotspots, visible fabric buildings, and known competitors.
- Use customer lists, permit databases, trade show attendee rosters, etc.
- Establish a consistent daily/weekly call schedule.
- Introduce Britespan value proposition (e.g., engineered structures, fast turnaround, local support).
- Sell Britespan’s suite of products directly to the end user, when appropriate.
- Objectives will include riding arena facilities, livestock, general farm buildings and agriculture structures.
- Scopes of work for sales will include material packages only, furnish and install and turnkey projects.
2. Support Britespan Building Systems sales orders:
- All actionable items from inbound lead to order processing will be documented and tracked in the company CRM program
- Work with Project Management Team to ensure contracts have qualified pricing, clean scopes of work prior to signing, smooth hand-off & introduction to PM team, and supports liaison between PM Team and Owners as needed during execution.
- Work directly with Britespan Customer Service Team to process and execute orders
- Follow up with customers to collect payments, ensuring payments are prompt and as contracted
- Follow through on all sales activities expediently to uphold company’s image and provide best-in-class services.
- Follow up after construction is completed, to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure warranty registration is completed on all orders
- Manage sales projects from beginning to completion as required
- Report bi-weekly on sales pipeline activity for leads and sales opportunities
3. Industry Outreach
- Attend agricultural-focused trade shows and other appropriate events
- Overnight travel may be required, but will be limited to no more than one trip per quarter
- Responsible for uncovering additional sales opportunities when attending agricultural trade shows and events, bringing Britespan’s brand to the next level.
- Responsible for researching strategic associations and membership programs to increase Britespan’s brand recognition.
- Follow-up after construction to ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate requirements for all construction phases to direct sale customers

Working Environment:
- Mobile & Office – this position is in person. Not Remote
- Company supplies cell phone, laptop, these remain the property of Britespan
- All work is to be completed on Britespan owned equipment
- Work closely with Britespan personnel as needed
- All appropriate safety gear must be worn when on construction site. PPE will be provided by Britespan
- Must have, or be able to acquire a Passport
Safety:

- Encourage fellow employees to work safely and to report hazardous or unsafe conditions immediately to their Supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures including wearing all required PPE
